If you are looking for music to chillout or set the mood look no further. Aya’s debut album “Strange Flower” is simply hot!

Its opening track “Looking For The Sun” sets the pace and is but a tease of what is to come. Smooth and sensual and reminiscent of Janet Jackson, Aya’s vocals while never really stretching in range, still deliver. With music produced and arranged by Naked Music’s Founder Jay Denes it becomes the perfect soulful-jazzy blend. Even as the lyrics of a few tunes are moody and thoughtful, the album as a whole is still very up beat.

I first became aware of Aya while listening to Blue Six’s Beautiful Tomorrow where she and other talented vocalists such as Gaelle Addison shine as well. After a few moments of listening and saying, “wow..who dat!!” I had no doubts about picking this one up!
